Willie
Willie was rescued in the summer of 2019 from a remote area of the Navajo Nation where he had been dumped. His physical appearance was devastating. We were informed that the locals would not feed him or give him water, as they feared he was contagious. He was found weak, malnourished and emaciated. His mange was so severe and painful that he would bleed if he touched anything. Willie’s paws were so swollen they were almost double in size. A heavy intestinal parasite infestation was also among his many problems. Thankfully, a kind woman and her children came across him, gave him food and water, and posted him on a local lost and found page.
That’s where YHT came in. Willie was fortunate enough to be fostered by an amazing person who showed him nothing but pure love and devotion. After many months of kindness, medical care, and nourishment Willie became the handsome healthy and beautiful boy he is today.
During the incredible process of Willie being nursed back to health his dream came true. The ongoing love affair between Willie and his foster parent resulted in him finding his forever home.
