YHT's Foster Program allows pets to live in a home setting while they wait for adoption and offers the foster family a chance to help a dog or cat without a permanent commitment. As a foster parent, you will get to know the personality and needs of the pet which can make a huge difference in finding the best fit for their adoptive home.
Fostering allows you to enhance your pet training skills and meet lots of breeds that straight adoption does not offer. For those wanting to increase their medical knowledge, injured and ill pets find that special care giver and you learn invaluable skills.
Under YHT's Foster program, we provide the vet recommended medical services and we have trainers to coach with the behavior needs of that animal. We also assign a mentor to new fosters so you have someone to lean on for any questions or concerns.
